What Makes a Strong Password?

A strong password has three characteristics:

  1. Length: At least 12 characters. The longer, the better — each additional character makes cracking exponentially harder.
  2. Complexity: Mix uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
  3. Uniqueness: Never reuse passwords across accounts. If one site gets breached, all your accounts are vulnerable.

The best password is one you do not need to remember. Use a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password to generate and store strong, unique passwords for every account.
